Jaguar and Land Rover once again took pride of place at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, exhibiting a huge array of Classic Jaguars and Land Rovers.
Not only did enthusiasts get to meet their Classic Car heroes at the November show, they got a unique insight into the four principle pillars that underpin JLR’s entire Classic operation – in the form of Classic Cars, Classic parts, Classic Services and Classic Experiences.
The objective of which is to give the brands’ glorious past the best possible future for years to come. A great example of how Jaguar Land Rover Classic are galvanising their future is the Land Rover Reborn programme, which sees experts scour the globe for authentic, original Series I’s, before shipping them home to Solihull and painstakingly and lovingly restoring them to their original condition. And dramatic results will be there to see, with an unrestored Series I next to ‘Car Zero’ – the first ever fully restored Series I in existence.
Show-goers were also be invited to learn more about the Jaguar Classic Workshop and the services it offers. Originally opened to build six brand new Lightweight E-types, the Browns Lane workshop now offers owners an individually tailored and fully warrantied maintenance, repair and rejuvenation service for a wide range of Classic Jaguars. For example, the ‘FON’ 1972 Series 3 V12 manual Roadster E-type, which came to the Jaguar Classic Workshop with 100,000 miles on the clock. It has since been put through eight key stages of restoration to prepare it for the next part of its journey and you’ll be able to see the completed vehicle on the Jaguar Land Rover Classic stand.
Clients can now also order both Classic Jaguars and Land Rovers, and some even bought straight off the stand at the show. And in order to help customers keep their heritage vehicles in optimum condition, Jaguar Land Rover Classic’s genuine parts business sources and re-manufactures a wide range of parts, available online and through official retailers. All parts are manufactured using original drawings and specifications. They are then tested and quality checked to exacting standards to ensure they offer a seamless fit and work in harmony with your vehicle. The Classic parts team will be on-hand throughout the show, exhibiting E-type panels, an E-type exhaust system and a new programme of Classic Auto components.
