PRE-PRODUCTION PROTOTYPE DISCOVERY ON SALE FOR FIRST TIME AT NEC CLASSIC

PRE-PRODUCTION PROTOTYPE DISCOVERY ON SALE FOR FIRST TIME AT NEC CLASSIC

A pre-production prototype Land Rover Discovery II comes to the open market for the first time at this year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery, held at Birmingham’s NEC from 10-12 November.

The 1998 model, in ES V8i form, is being sold by London specialist Graeme Hunt, who acquired it some time ago and has since had it repainted in the original Zambezi Silver, presenting it at the show in very good condition.

ES models, which were the top trim line in the Discovery II range and featured leather seats, a Harman Kardon sound system and twin sunroofs, were supplied with automatic transmission but this example is believed to be the sole manual gearbox example built.

The combination of it’s rarity and condition caused Land Rover to select the prototype for its display at the 2017 Chinese Motor Show to support the launch of the Discovery V.

With over 25 years of experience, Graeme Hunt’s passion for classic cars of all makes has resulted in him dealing in cars which interest him, even if they are not main stream. A long-time supporter of the show, potential buyers can find Graeme Hunt’s stand in Hall 3, Stand 130 or you can visit their website here http://www.graemehunt.com.
