The National Street Rod Association (NSRA), the UK’s premier Hot Rod Association for pre-1972 Hot Rods, Street Rods and Custom Cars, is using this year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show as the start of its 45th anniversary celebrations. Originally formed in 1972, the NSRA will be celebrating its 45th anniversary in 2017 and is still very much the club of choice for UK rodding enthusiasts.
As well as being the National organisation for hotrodders, each year the NSRA organises two of the UK’s largest hot rod show weekends including the NSRA Hot Rod Supernationals in August, plus two major auto parts swapmeets, and in conjunction with Shakespeare County Raceway, two nostalgia drag racing event weekends.
The NSRA also supports European rodding events as a member of the European Street Rod Association, is a proud sponsor of the Gasser Circus drag racing league, and supports Dragstalgia at Santa Pod Raceway.
At this year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, held at Birmingham’s NEC from 11-13 November, the club will showcase five of the top show winning cars on display from this year’s NSRA Hot Rod Supernationals.
The line-up includes the gorgeous black 1936 Ford Three Window owned by Chris Smith, which took home the top prize, the ‘Participants Choice’ trophy.
NSRA membership is open to anyone with an interest in Hot Rods & Customs, whether or not you currently own one. NSRA Members enjoy discounted entry to NSRA events, specialised insurance, supplier discounts, full access to the NSRA’s on-line Forum, and of course the members’ bi-monthly ‘Gasser’ magazine.
