The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show attracts it's fair share of motoring icons and celebrity motoring fans. Over the three days, we welcomed special guests to the Wheeler Dealers Live Stage as well as those who just want to enjoy the cars and bikes like any other visitor.
Guests saw the likes of Sir Stirling Moss, Vicki Butler-Henderson, Ross Brawn, Chris Evans, Jools Holland, Guy Martin, Theo Paphitas, James May and many more. We were also thrilled to be visited by racing legends such as Rosemary Smith, Norman Dewis, Barrie Whizzo Williams, Barry Lee, and Mick Grant.
We'll announce our guests for 2017 as we get nearer the show but those who joined us in 2016 are:
He’s the car dealer turned TV star who’s travelled the world asking folk to ‘hold out your hand’ while he makes a cracking deal. From the early days of Driven, crossing continents in Trading Up, on the frontline of Afghanistan, and through to over 100 restorations on Wheeler Dealers, Mike continues to find the best cars for the best possible price.
A quintessential English eccentric, Edd is the creator of a number of extraordinary and wacky vehicles, several of which hold Guinness World Records. Working on Wheeler Dealers where budget is everything, Edd is highly resourceful and manages to solve many a motoring problem, always pushing the boundaries of what can and cannot be done
Designer, artist, world record holder, semi-professional football player, car nut, Ant has been building bespoke cars since he was a kid and, through his company Evanta, has an international waiting list exceeding three years. Seen on screen with Philip Glennister, Ant’s restorations on For the Love of Cars have achieved phenomenal prices at auction.
