In the spirit of the year’s theme for the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery, the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club have pulled out all of the stops to create a stand this year that celebrates the legacy of Jaguar.

Through a combination of iconic design, great British engineering and the ultimate aim to deliver grace, pace and space, Jaguar is a name that is synonymous with motoring worldwide.

To prove that the brand has stood the test of time, the JEC have curated a unique collection of cars, supported by mixed media presentations to showcase the company’s pinnacle points of success over the last 50 years.

2018 also sees two anniversaries for the brand. Starting with 70 years of the XK, which powered Jaguar to glory at Le-Mans in the 1950’s and of course 50 years of the Jaguar XJ, which now in its 8th generation, is still the company flagship .

To celebrate this, at the centre of the JEC collection will be the oldest surviving XJ “MWK 28K”. This pre-production press car certainly comes with its own unique history. When launched back in 1968 it was a game changer, not only was an icon born, but sport saloons would never be the same again.

Accompanying this will also be a flame throwing monster in the form of a 1970’s BroadSpeed XJ. A car that simply embodies the noise, the sound, and the smell of those legendary race days, this is not a car to miss.

To celebrate the additional anniversary of the XK range a stunning XK150S DHC ( number 1 of 69)  has  been supplied by the famed Jaguar Restorers, and JEC club partner CMC. 70 years on and these are without doubt still one of the most beautiful cars ever designed.

Finishing off the unique line-up will be Jaguars latest super saloon the fearsome Project 8. A car which currently holds the title of being the most powerful road legal Jaguar in history.

Guests to the JEC stand can also find out more about the club, whilst at the same time being able to buy tickets for this year’s JEC Raffle Car, a stunning 2013 3.0 F-Type Convertible, before the car is given away to one lucky ticket holder, live on the stand at 3.30pm on Sunday Afternoon.

“Jaguar; The Brand that was Built to Last” will certainly be a highlight of this year’s show. Visit their stand this weekend on 2-730.
