Much-loved Swedish car maker, Volvo, will be strongly represented at this year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery, and visitors can look forward to some very special vehicles in Hall 5.

The Volvo Owners Club is planning a special celebration to mark the 90th anniversary of Volvo Cars, and will be bringing along a range of historic models from across the generations including a 1931 PV651 - one of just a few left - and a rare 1965 PV544 Sport.

Later models will also be represented in the form of a 1996 850R, and the Club will also be displaying a car from Volvo’s current range. Discounted membership fees will also be on offer during the show.

Over on Stand 855, the Volvo Enthusiasts Club will be displaying a special commercial vehicle. The 1967 F86, which was the very first truck to be imported into the UK, is owned by Volvo Truck UK who also undertook its restoration.

Meanwhile, the star of the Volvotuning stand is a 262C, a model that is celebrating its 40th anniversary. One of only five registered in the UK, the car has been undergoing a complete restoration and it also boasts an interesting history.  Sold just over a year ago by Sam Glover of Practical Classics magazine, it was bought by a Volvotuning member and on Friday 10th November Sam will be reunited with the car.  It will be the first time he has seen it following the restoration so make sure you visit Stand 660 to see his reaction.

All of these clubs can be found in Hall 5 so be sure not to miss them.
