COVID Measures

Keeping you safe

Show statement as at 10.13 am, 11/09/2020:

Since the government announced new rules on Wednesday (09.09.20) many questions have been raised, including ones by us. Having consulted with the events industry association and key industry partners, our position is that, being categorised as a controlled managed event, we are still able to go ahead with the show, with the government agreed COVID-secure measures in place to make it a safe environment for you.

Feedback from a series of pilot events is currently being assessed by the government which will give us further clarity shortly. Of course, we will keep you updated as we learn more and thank you for your patience and support.

Our Health and Safety Measures

We're looking forward to welcoming exhibitors, classic vehicle clubs, partners and visitors to the show in November. If you're one of those joining us, take a couple of minutes to watch this video and see how we're making the show COVID-secure in our mission to keep all attendees safe.
In order to continue to deliver the show as the place for the classic car community to meet in the autumn and enjoy decades of motoring history the organisers, Clarion Events, are putting in a number of measures to create a safe environment to protect exhibitors, visitors, contractors and staff so we can run an enjoyable and successful event.

The events industry have been working together to produce the All Secure Standard (documents downloadable below) as a roadmap for delivering events in the current situation. The key elements are outlined below.

Please ensure everyone in your group is aware of these measures and the steps they need to take to gain entrance to the show.

The NEC is also committed to delivering events under rigorous health and safety measures. You can read their statement on the NEC website

Visitor Arrival

Temperature check will be a condition of visitor entry. Any person displaying a high temperature (and potentially the party they are with) will not be granted access to the venue. In this instance tickets will be refunded after the event - we are unable to facilitate this at the venue.

Advance ticket purchase: all visitors are encouraged to purchase their ticket in advance. All complimentary ticket holders need to validate their ticket in advance. This will enable us to minimise queuing and contact on arrival through the use of enhanced technology scanners which will facilitate seamless and contactless access upon entry and exit.

Staggered visitor admission time slots will enable evenly spread attendance, minimising queuing to provide a safer and more seamless experience. An entrance time needs to be selected when booking tickets. Visitors should present themselves at the appropriate entrance to be scanned into the hall during this half hour slot. Once visitors are in the show they have the rest of the day to enjoy the show. Once in the hall visitors can navigate the whole show using the directional aisles.

Track and Trace: contact details will be kept securely for 21 days to support contact tracing in line with government and local authority guidance.

Safer Payments: contactless payments will be encouraged throughout via card or phone, with an email receipt wherever possible.

Cleaning and Hygiene

A deep clean will be undertaken by the venue prior to commencing build up.

Enhanced overnight cleaning: the venue will be fully cleaned regularly and electrostatic equipment (fogging) will be used to enhance the overnight cleaning regime of enclosed spaces.

An enhanced cleaning regime during show open periods, with extra attention given to high frequency touchpoints such as toilets, door handles and hand-rails.

Food and beverage retail services will be provided in line with the latest government guidance.
