THE DISCOVERY LIVE STAGE, FEATURING WHEELER DEALERS
The Discovery Live Stage, featuring The Wheeler Dealers, was not to be missed. Even more so as 2017 saw Mr 'Wheeler Dealer' himself Mike Brewer and his new co-host and mechanic Ant Anstead together hosting the Live Stage jam packed with motoring magic, madness and mayhem all day long.
Wheeler Dealers is one of the most popular shows on the Discovery Channel and the biggest motoring show in the world! Mike Brewer buys and sells cars bringing them back to the workshop for Ant Anstead to repair and restore them to tip top condition for Mike to sell for a tidy profit.
With an all-new series of Wheeler Dealers set to air in the UK on January 1st 2018, Mike and Ant will be took visitors behind the scenes with a sneak peek of the cars they have been working on as well as all the gossip from the workshop.
A full daily programme of motoring entertainment included 'Practical Challenge with Practical Classics' which sees the team from Practical Classics magazine reveal a classic car for a restoration challenge on Friday morning – that usually starts with a box of parts - that needs to be a running, driving car by Sunday afternoon. Visitors can then follow the team as they fight against the clock to get the car finished before the horns sound marking the end of the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery. This year's challenge was to recreate Mr Bean's Mini live on stage, using a Mini that Rowan Atkinson's son once owned and the talented PC team had the Mini driving off the stage in it's full capacity on Sunday evening.
Plus, there’s classic car parades from the Sporting Bears’ Dream Rides, special guests, expert advice, game shows with fantastic prizes, giveaways and general tomfoolery all day, every day. Come along and grab a seat (for free) and enjoy the show. You may also get to meet the Wheeler Dealers so bring your autograph books and cameras.
2017's show welcomed special guests including Rob 'Judge' Rinder, Drew and Paul from TV's Salvage Hunters, iconic car designer Frank Stephenson, the team from TV's Goblin Garage, Storage Hunters' Jesse McClure and more!
Keep checking back for 2018 stage updates and more guests announcements so you can start planning your day!
Note: on one day of the show there will be a sign language interpreter on the stage for those who may need assistance.
