One of only 250 made - Harrington LeMans Coupe Launched at NEC

On display at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show 2021 will be a real labour of love that began 12 years ago as a rusting shell and some rather tired and rusty parts in cardboard boxes. The finished product is a testament to hard work, tenacity and sheer bloody-mindedness in tracking down the rare items needed to complete this spectacular restoration. Andrew Yates, the proud owner of "482DPO" talks about the challenge; "From the beginning I knew the odds of reuniting all the components of a car of which just 250 were built, was a long shot. It was never a choice I made - it was something I was driven to do, and without the help of the Sunbeam Alpine Owners club, a few very special people like Oliver Bridgeman, Jeff Howarth, Jan Iggbom, Clive Pocock and Kev Cooper, the mission would not have become a reality. Reassembling the pieces and working with specialists who have supreme skills has turned out to be my most exciting automotive adventure". Andrew is also the owner of the stunning Metropolitan Blue Sunbeam Tiger Mk2 on display at the Sunbeam Alpine and Tiger dealership in Hall 3 stand 370
