1972 Jaguar E-Type - Anthony Evans

Anthony has owned his stunning example for two years, and it was a car he always wanted. “I used to live near the Browns Lane factory in Coventry and used to admire the cars back in the 1960s and 1970s.” He saw this one at a dealer and knew straight away that it was exactly what he was looking for.

Restored some thirty years ago by a previous owner who used the car for tours in South Africa and the US, it was still in excellent condition and has covered fewer than 70,000 miles today. Anthony has all of the previous MOT certificates, and is pleased to say it’s never failed.

Thanks to that extensive restoration, very little work has been needed - Anthony says it has just been a case of tinkering and attending to the small things that occur with any classic. In fact, he’s rather enjoys being able to work on the Jaguar, something he says he can’t really do on a modern car.

Driven regularly during the spring and summer and with plenty of car shows to attend, he definitely won’t be parting with it. “I’m just proud to own such a lovely car.” We would be, too, and we love this wonderful example.
