Silverstone Auctions

Silverstone Auctions offers a fantastic catalogue of 100+ classics, sports cars and historic motorbikes, alongside an array of collectible luxury watches and automobilia, during their two day show auction.

While we are running an Online Edition of the Show this year Silverstone Auctions will be running the auction on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 November. The lots can be explored through their online catalogue and via in person viewings which can be arranged in advance between 2 and 12 November. 

Next year we will return to the NEC were you can come along and feel the excitement of bidding on the unique lots, either by placing your own bid or watching the spectacle after your have browsed the offerings. Show goers will then be able to appreciate all the cars and collectables in person during auction viewing hours, and enjoy the dramatic live auctions over the show weekend.

Past star offerings at the sale have included:

  • Hollywood icon, Steve McQueen’s 1945 Willys Jeep
  • Frank Sinatra’s 1984 Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible
  • Seven cars from Jay Kay, lead singer of Jamiroquai, including a 2016 McLaren 675 LT, a 1989 BMW E30 M3 Johnny Cecotto Ltd Edition, a 1973 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spyder Conversion and a 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS.
  • A 1958 Volkswagen Beetle which was fully restored on Channel 4’s For the Love of Cars in 2015

As the auction will take place online the auction room will be 'closed' to the public. This means that our auctioneer will be live streamed and you can watch online.

How to bid at the auction

You can bid online via three methods; on the telephone, via a commission bid (pre-bid) or online with partners Proxibid and The Saleroom.​

Live Online Auction

Silverstone Auctions has partnered with Proxibid and The Saleroom to allow you to bid live or leave a commission bid (or pre-bid) online.

To complete your online bidder registration and comply with money laundering legislation you will need to provide TWO forms of ID to our secure portal via the registration link. Bank details are not required for bidder registration.

How to sell your car at auction

If you are interested in including your car at Silverstone Auctions' sale follow this step-by-step guide to submit an entry.
  1. Contact Silverstone Auctions with basic information on make, model, year, mileage and condition of the car
  2. If the car is appropriate for the sale there will be a follow-up conversation and valuation
  3. Valuation is achieved with input from yourself and Silverstone Auctions team of knowledgable and experienced consignors
  4. Upon the agreement of the valuation and T&C’s, your car is entered
  5. Silverstone Auctions' in-house photographer will capture your classic with the images used to promote the sale 
  6. Promotion includes a place in the catalogue, PR coverage, magazines, social media and third party listings (subject to submission date)
  7. All enquiries are managed by your consignor who has taken the time to get to know all there is about your car
  8. At the sale, Silverstone Auctions have a valeting team to keep your classic looking its best
