Silverstone Auctions returns to the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery, with one of their most high profile classic car auctions in the UK.
A catalogue of 100+ classics, sports cars and historic motorbikes will go to auction on the Saturday and Sunday of the show, as well as a vast array of collectible luxury watches and automobilia.
Past star offerings at the sale have included Hollywood icon, Steve McQueen’s 1945 Willys Jeep, Frank Sinatra’s 1984 Rolls-Royce Corniche Convertible , and seven cars from the personal garage of Jay Kay, lead singer of Jamiroquai, including a 2016 McLaren 675 LT and a rare 1989 BMW E30 M3 Johnny Cecotto Ltd Edition. As well as a beautiful 1973 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spyder Conversion and one of just 235, UK supplied, 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS.
Last year a special charity lot also crossed the auction block. A 1958 Volkswagen Beetle which was fully restored on Channel 4’s For the Love of Cars in 2015 was offered at ‘no reserve’ with all proceeds going to the Brain Tumour Research Centre in Birmingham.
So whether you’re a fan of Aston Martin, Porsche, BMW, Lamborghini, Ford or Ferraris you will find something to aspire to on the auction block.
Show goers can appreciate all the cars in person during auction viewing hours, and enjoy the dramatic live auctions over the weekend.
All the lots for the 2018 auction can be viewed on the Sliverstone Auctions website and the 2019 lots will be announced in the coming months.
