The Matra Enthusiasts Club is bringing an extraordinary story to life with their display at the show. Highlighting a 1979 Matra Bagheera famously featured on BBC Top Gear Series 27 in 2019, this rare mid-engine sports car endured a punishing journey through the mudded jungles of Borneo to the capital city of Brunei. Despite the extreme adventure, the Bagheera survived, earning a place at the Beaulieu National Motor Museum.

The club has now taken responsibility for the car, ensuring it will be fully restored to its original glory while also showcasing it in its well-worn, battle-tested condition. Visitors can explore the car’s fascinating history, seeing firsthand the scars and stories that make it truly unique.

Also on display is a recently restored Matra M530, offering a striking contrast between rugged adventure and classic sports car elegance. The Matra Enthusiasts Club invites all visitors to celebrate these remarkable cars and the adventurous spirit that defines the marque.
