Singer Owners' Club – Celebrating 150 Years of Innovation
Singer Owners' Club

This year marks the 150th anniversary of Singer & Co, founded in 1875. To celebrate this milestone, the Singer Owners’ Club stand will showcase the fascinating history of the marque, from its origins as a bicycle manufacturer to its evolution under the Rootes Group in the 1950s.

Visitors can explore a broad visual timeline, featuring at least two classic Singer bicycles – a ladies “Singer Special” and a tricycle – alongside a selection of cars spanning multiple eras. Highlights include:

  • 1920s Singer (TBC) – An early example of the marque’s transition into automotive production.

  • 1930s Singer Le Mans – A two-seater sports car exemplifying the brand’s pre-war performance heritage.

  • 1949 Singer Roadster 4A – Originally registered in Australia, then passed through Hong Kong and Sri Lanka via British Army officers, this car now resides in the UK. The owner, Jurek, is carefully restoring it to full running condition after recovering it from partial disassembly.

  • 1962 Singer Vogue – Finished in a striking maroon and white two-tone, this car remains a regular at shows and road trips, recently completing a 500+ mile journey to the Isle of Wight Classic Motor Show.

The stand is a celebration of engineering and design across generations, offering a rare opportunity to see bicycles and cars side by side and experience the evolution of one of Britain’s most enduring marques.
