TVR Car Club – 60 Years of Innovation and Performance
TVR Car Club

2025 marks a doubly significant year for the TVR Car Club, celebrating 60 years since its formation in 1965, coinciding with the pivotal moment when Martin Lilley and his father Arthur rescued TVR from bankruptcy, setting the brand on the path to becoming one of the UK’s most iconic independent car builders under Peter Wheeler.

Stand highlights include:

  • Early TVRs: Two special early cars, a 1967 1800 IV SE and a 1972 Tuscan V6 (built from a kit), both now in their second ownership.

  • Late 1970s–1980s: A Taimar Turbo and a one-owner 450 SE (1983) showcase TVR’s evolution in performance and design.

  • 1990s–early 2000s:

    • Speed 12 show car – debuted in 1997 and never publicly displayed since; one of only two built, guaranteed to be a show-stopper.

    • Bright red T440 – one of only five road cars, recently restored after years as a DeWalt promotional car; a rare Le Mans–inspired icon.

The stand features a completely new design, displaying TVRs from the early 1960s through to the early 2000s, illustrating the brand’s eclectic history. From the sedate yet special early Lilley-era cars to the raucous V12 and Le Mans–inspired machines of the ’90s and 2000s, the collection perfectly reflects the “Best of Both Worlds” theme, combining heritage with high-performance innovation.

Visitors will experience TVR’s journey from modest beginnings to engineering legends, including extremely rare cars unseen in public for over two decades.
