Stuart Curtis' 1965 Chevrolet Corvette
The winner is this very nice 1965 Chevrolet Corvette in Nassau Blue, belonging to Stuart Curtis, from Congleton in Staffordshire. The ’Vette runs a 327 cu in V8 engine hooked up to a four-speed manual transmission. It’s a nicely optioned car with power-windows, -steering, -brakes, -antennae and AM/FM radio. The car was restored by the previous owner in 2004 and it’s believed the car came into the UK in 1980. Stuart currently owns four Corvettes and has owned ’Vettes since he was 23 (his first was a C4, which was the current model back then). Stuart is in the NCRS (National Corvette Restoration Society,) as well as being the Northwest rep for the Classic Corvette Club UK and on the CCCUK committee, where he was instrumental in organising this year’s Corvette Nationals show at Sywell, as well as ‘Corvettes at the Lakes’ up in the Lake District. His latest acquisition is a big block 1966 Corvette, also in Nassau Blue like this one, but a convertible!
