Steve and Maria Tennick's 1955 Dodge Royal Lancer
)
This gorgeous 1955 Dodge Royal Lancer picked up the Kingstown Shipping Car of the Year gong at the Classic American Stars and Stripes show, held on the Tatton Park Estate in Cheshire. Belonging to Steve and Marina Tennick from Warrington, the car boasts the desirable 270cu in /183bhp Super Red Ram Hemi engine and eye-catching triple-tone paintwork to die for.
The Royal series was Dodge’s intermediate trim level for ’55 and included hooded chrome headlamps, unique trim. A four-door sedan like this one would have set you back $2285 back then and they sold well, with Dodge shifting 45,323 units. The Tennicks are the 7th owners in the UK and don't know a great deal about its history since it's been in the country, so we're hoping to fill in a few blanks about that in the coming months, get in touch if you know anything about this amazing car!
