Steve Hayward's 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1
Everyone loves a Mustang and this particular beauty is typical of the Performance/special edition Mustangs brought out in the late Sixties. The Mach 1 is probably the most sought-after of all and Steve Hayward, from Brighton has owned this particular Medium Blue beauty for about three years and says it hails from Kansas City, Missouri originally. Featuring a 351 cu in (5.7-litre) Cleveland V8 motor, its undergone various performance upgrades, such as MSD ignition and a 3-inch exhaust system. Other nice period touches include the rear window louvres and air dam, plus Steve has added the handsome sporty wooden steering wheel, which looks very much in keeping with the car. The Mustang was originally fitted with air conditioning, although most of the mechanical side of that has been removed from the engine bay.
