70 Years Since the Big Reveal: The MkII Trio
Marking 70 years since the launch of Ford's MkII Consul, Zephyr and Zodiac, this special anniversary display celebrates the cars that made their public debut at the 1956 Earls Court Motor Show.
The stand brings together a Consul, Zephyr and Zodiac, showcasing the breadth of the MkII range and spanning the model's production years from 1956 to 1962. Together, the three cars offer a fascinating snapshot of Ford's range during a period when the company was producing some of Britain's most recognisable family and executive cars.
Adding to the period atmosphere will be recreations of original advertising and promotional materials, taking visitors back to the world of 1956 and the launch of the MkII range.
Seventy years after the trio first took centre stage at Earls Court, this display provides a chance to see the Consul, Zephyr and Zodiac together and revisit the moment these distinctive Fords were first unveiled to the public.
