Land Rover Series 2 Club: Seven Debutants, Seven Stories
The Land Rover Series 2 Club is going all-in on the 2026 Debutantes theme, with seven vehicles making their first appearance at the Classic Motor Show in their present form.
The display spans the full breadth of Series 2 vehicles, including an open-top 88-inch GPO Utility making its debut as a completed vehicle, a green 88-inch trailer, a Limestone soft-top daily driver and a beautifully preserved 1961 military 88-inch. There’s also an exposed rolling chassis, giving visitors a rare look at the construction and mechanical layout normally hidden beneath the aluminium bodywork.
The stand’s two particularly rare vehicles include WHK 200F, a 1967 Series IIB 110-inch Forward Control that underwent a decades-long restoration known as the “Long Job”, and UWP 29, an exceptionally early 1958 109-inch diesel pick-up.
Together, the seven vehicles tell the story of how Series 2 Land Rovers have worked, competed, served, survived, been restored and remained in everyday use, making this a debut display with plenty to discover.
