Practical Classics Camper Round the Coast Update
The team working on the VW Camper for Camper Round the Coast

But to make that happen Practical Classics needs to know where to go, and that’s going to involve you. Camper Round the Coast will see the Lancaster Insurance sponsored bus take to the roads of Britain, exploring the coastline and hunting for Britain’s best beaches - but your help is needed to find them, so this is the big call for nominations.

Tell the guys where to go by visiting the nomination site (see publication for details). Make sure you give us the name and location of your favourite beach – the beach that you would love them to visit on this marathon round Britain blast in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. The Top 10 nominees will be published in Practical Classics magazine and that’s when you can vote on your favourite from the list.

Then, Britain’s five favourite beaches, chosen by you will then be visited by the Practical Classics/Lancaster Insurance team – with a pop up classic show occurring as close to each as possible. Come and join us and join us on the runs between beaches as well, we will publish the route in future issues.

Practical Classica/Lancaster Insurance will showcase the camper and tell the Camper Round the Coast story at the NEC Classic Motor Show on November 12-14 where Silverstone Auctions will sell the bus to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK – Lancaster Insurances, and partner restorer CBR Restoration’s chosen charity.

Editor Danny Hopkins says: 'This has been an incredible journey, one that has had to be completed under the most difficult circumstances. COVID has thrown up so many obstacles and set the project back over a year. However it is a tribute to the can-do attitude of all our partners and, in particular, to Lancaster Insurance that we are still here, still fighting to be ready for the big trip, and still on course to raise serious money for charity.'

The engine has been rebuilt by PC’s Ed Hughes. The Camper restored by Practical Classics Magazine at its' workshop, working with partners: Newton Commercal, Heritgae Parts, CBR Restorations and Vintage Tyres.
