As its OldSkoolFord’s 20th Birthday and 15th year at the Classic Car Show, Retroford Magazine thought we would take a Retro look back at what it means to own an old Ford with NEC veteran Kellye Stephens.
Kellye is retro through and through even down to his dress code - LOL. Owning an old Ford for Kellye (an OSF old hand) is a trip down memory lane, but seeing as he has never really left the 80's, he would say it’s more dragging the decade along with him into times that lack the fun and individuality of the 80's. Having owned his Capri from 1992, he has had the car longer than his wife, kids and current home so the car is now a part of him and hopefully be with him until his last breath or he runs out of oil!
The other side of owning a classic Ford though is the club scene and a big part of that is the yearly NEC classic car show. Nothing better than spending time chatting, laughing and swapping stories with likeminded petrol heads over a complete 3 day show with all makes and models, parts stalls, memorabilia and clown acts (stage shows – LOL) it really is a great way to sign off the year.
