The Rover P6 Club

Stand: 3-440
The Rover P6 Club

The Rover P6 Club is a true classic car club governed by an elected committee of volunteer members and run on a not-for-profit basis. We are proud to count amongst our members many of the original design team who developed the Rover P6 in the early 60s. We have dedicated archivist contributors to the magazine who are unearthing lost information on the Rover P6 from the Heritage archives to further add to the Rover history. We are dedicated to supporting the owners and enthusiasts of the exceptional and groundbreaking Rover P6 with a comprehensive support network of local events and activities, free expert technical advice, established relationships with key parts and service suppliers, and access to a global family of networked Rover clubs. We are proud members of the FBHVC and the Joint Rover Clubs. We attend all the major national classic car shows and have regular regional meetings. In addition, we have a significant social media presence with over 10,000 members of our Facebook group.

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Rover P6 and the 30th anniversary of the club, The Rover P6 Club will be presenting a unique display of vehicles at the NEC 9th – 12th November.

We will have five early cars representing the launch colours of White, Willow Green, Copperleaf Red, Wedgewood Blue & City Grey. In addition, the club will feature the gold car (chassis no 100) that was mounted on a turntable at the 1963 motor show and may be said to be the car that launched the model. Recently purchased by the club’s editor this vehicle needs considerable restoration as well as the sourcing and replacement of the non-genuine parts that have been fitted over the years so that it can be as near as possible to the specification it had as it left the factory in 1963. The restoration will be featured in the clubs bi-monthly magazine Driving Force over the coming years.

In recognition of our anniversary year, we will be giving, completely free of charge, special 20-page supplement to all members with our December issue of Driving Force. Anyone who joins the club at the NEC will receive this magazine.  Written by a Corgi model expert this is a definitive guide to the models of the Rover P6 produced by Corgi in the 1960’s & 1970’s.

Come along and say hello, we’ll have copies of Driving Force and the supplement at the NEC for you to view.
