A fantastic mix of marques has been selected for the Autumn Final of the Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership. The 20 owners and their vehicles will showcase their vehicles on the hallowed carpet at the Classic Motor Show, held 13-15 November at Birmingham’s NEC, hoping to win your votes.

Spanning decades of motoring, visitors to the show will have a tough choice deciding who will be the winners and take home the trophy, none of which have been entered in the competition before and most never appearing at the Show before either.

The finalists include Pete Crompton’s 1962 Hillman Super Minx, Tony Lamb’s 1972 Datsun 240Z, Franc Gregori’s 1982 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole, Richard Hodnett’s 1990 VW Golf MkIII, and Heath Ellis’ 2005 BMW Z4 MkI Roadster.

They will be joined by Gary Mitchell and his 1948 Jaguar MkIV, Dave Swallow and his 2002 Subaru Impreza, Andy Elkins and his 1990 Renault 5 GT Turbo, Nick Seaton and his 1977 Triumph Dolomite Sprint, and Stacey Clark and her 1989 Mazda MX5 NS Japanese import.

In amongst the rarities, you’ll find Jacek Pawlikowski’s 1956 Renault Juvaqatre Brake R1200, Nick Simpson’s 1975 Land Rover Series 3 Fire Engine, Rav Dhuna’s 1973 Ford Capri MkIII 3.1 GXL, Martin Smith’s 1969 Dodge Charger, and Verity Leadner’s 2005 BMW (E46) 330 Ci Convertible M Sport.

Completing the line-up is Nigel Codd’s 1966 Morris Minor, Gary Price’s 2003 BMW Mini Cooper, Rod Martin’s 1968 Mini Sprint, Simon Spurrell’s 1982 Jaguar XJ-S Lister, and Steve Taylor’s 1986 Sherpa Freightrover 3500cc.

The winner and two runners up all receive trophies and a year’s free car insurance from Lancaster Insurance up to the value of £250 (T&C apply). The overall winner will also be offered the chance to display their car at the next event held by the organisers – as well as the obvious bragging rights!

Now in its eleventh year, the winners’ roll of honour includes a diverse range of marques from John Smith’s 1964 Volkswagen Type 2 Deluxe Microbus to Ian Croft’s 1968 Lotus Elan Plus 2, Paul Clappison’s 1989 Porsche 944 to David Wootton’s 2004 Vauxhall Astra GSi 2.0 Turbo and our most recent winner of the Spring Final, Jason Mould and his 1983 Ford Escort RS1600i.
