Entries Open for Lancaster Insurance Price of Ownership’s Autumn Final at Classic Motor Show

Entries for the highly contested Autumn Final of the Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership are now open. Just 20 owners and their vehicles will be invited to the showcase at the NEC season finale held 13-15 November at Birmingham’s NEC.

Whilst the ultimate winner will be decided by the show’s visitors, applicants with interesting stories and cars that have never been seen at the show before will be given special consideration as part of the show’s Debutants theme.

Yvonne Gosney of Lancaster Insurance said: “The Pride of Ownership competition is always a highlight for visitors, who not only enjoy the incredible variety of vehicles on display but also the unique stories behind them. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to welcome some truly remarkable entrants and celebrate a fantastic range of deserving winners. This year, we’re especially excited about the debutante theme and the opportunity to showcase cars and owners that have never been seen at the show before.”

Open to privately owned vehicles manufactured before 1 January 2006, entrants are asked to share the story behind their classic with the judges. Whilst the standard of the vehicle is considered, it is not a concours competition so it’s not just about which car is the shiniest.

To enter, owners can submit an entry form, which can be found on the show website, and two images of the vehicle, including one full picture. Only one vehicle can be entered per owner. More details are on the show’s website at

Chosen finalists will receive two tickets for each of the show days, free parking throughout and a commemorative certificate.

The winner and two runners up all receive trophies and a year’s free car insurance from Lancaster Insurance up to the value of £250 (T&C apply). The overall winner will also be offered the chance to display their car at the next event held by the organisers – as well as the obvious bragging rights!

Now in its eleventh year, the winners’ roll of honour includes a diverse range of marques from John Smith’s 1964 Volkswagen Type 2 Deluxe Microbus to Ian Croft’s 1968 Lotus Elan Plus 2, Paul Clappison’s 1989 Porsche 944 to David Wootton’s 2004 Vauxhall Astra GSi 2.0 Turbo and our most recent winner of the Spring Final, Jason Mould and his 1983 Ford Escort RS1600i.

The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show will be held at Birmingham’s NEC from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 November 2026. With so much to see, tickets are on sale now. Why not consider multi-day or family tickets to save money.
