Iconic Auctioneers Brings ‘Super Sale’ To Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show

This year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show will see its biggest ever classic car sale as Iconic Auctioneers brings a Classic Sale to join its regular Iconic Collectors’ Car, Motorcycle and Automobilia sales to make a ‘Super Sale’ at Birmingham’s NEC this November.
Spread over the three show days, 7-9 November, the ‘Super Sale’ will fill most of Hall 2, with viewing available daily. The auctions will commence on Saturday with Iconic Automobilia Sale, closely followed by the Iconic Collectors’ Car Sale of high-end vehicles from across the eras.
Sunday sees the turn of the Iconic Motorcycle Sale and the Classic Sale, focussing on vehicles for the everyday enthusiast that previously sat under the Classic Car Auctions brand.
Lee Masters, Show Director, said: “This ‘Super Sale’ has been years in the making given how our relationship with Iconic Auctioneers and the how the auctions have grown over the 14 years of our partnership. We’re excited to see what vehicles are on offer.”
Iconic Auctioneers’ 2024 Classic Motor Show sale bucked market trends and achieved a total of £9million with a sell through rate of 82%. With a 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth Lux with just 2,221 miles selling for an impressive £202,500 setting a new live auction World Record.
Rob Hubbard, Managing Director and Principal Auctioneer said “We are delighted to bring both our Classic and Iconic Sales to this years Classic Motor Show. We recently held a similar joint sale at the Silverstone Festival where we achieved 7 live auction world records and 3 UK live auction records for our vendors.”
Hubbard continues: “The NEC sale is always hugely popular, last year we had over 2800 registered bidders and a packed saleroom with online bidders joining us from the USA, Australia, Hong Kong and continental Europe. We expect this year’s sale to be even busier! So, if you are looking to sell your car or motorcycles this Autumn now is the time to get in contact as entries are filling up fast and will be closing on the 6 October.”
Just a taste of what’s coming
Over 100 motorcycles are already confirmed alongside standout cars like:

- Ford Escort RS1800 Mk2 – The first production car of just 109 made and arguably the finest in existence.
- Jensen Interceptor Convertible – One of only 267 ever built, in a rare colour with a rich history.
And that’s just scratching the surface of what’s to come…
The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show brings together over 3,000 vehicles from all eras and more than 300 classic car clubs, each offering its own unique stories and vehicle displays, helping to preserve and celebrate motoring heritage.
