Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show Brings A Wealth Of Knowledge With New ‘Meet The Experts’ Theatre
This year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show will offer visitors more motoring knowledge than ever before with the new ‘Meet the Experts’ Theatre when it returns to Birmingham’s NEC from 10-12 November.

The Theatre will cover a whole manner of subjects from how to get started in classic motoring and using your classic for motorsport, to alternative fuels and debating restoration versus modification.

There will also be discussions about the future of the classic car community, the skills shortage, preserving our automotive heritage, and how we can attract more youngsters into classic motoring – both as a hobby and a career.

Show Director Lee Masters explains: “Whilst we want all of our visitors to be entertained, we also want them to leave the show knowing more than when they arrived. With such a wealth of experts in our community, we want to create a platform when we can impart as much of that motoring knowledge onto others as possible.

“There are so many changes in the motoring world, now more than ever, and often people’s fears on topics such as sustainability in classic motoring are based on headlines rather than having all the right information. Our aim is to change this so everyone can create their own informed opinion by tapping into our motoring experts.”

The ‘Meet the Experts’ Theatre will be hosted by Wheeler Dealers’ Mike Brewer and car journalist and YouTuber ‘Auto Alex’ Kersten. They will be joined by other well-known faces from TV and YouTube as well as motoring journalists and highly respected industry campaigners.

As well as the panels, there will also be interviews with special guests including World Trials Championship legend Dougie Lampkin and the stars of the new movie ‘Classic’.

There will also be a celebration of the 20th anniversary of Wheeler Dealers. Since 2003, Mike Brewer and his trusty mechanics – Edd China, Ant Anstead and currently Marc ‘Elvis’ Priestley - have restored and brought back to the road 218 cars on our screens. Mike will share his personal highlights and stories from behind the scenes each day.
