Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show to Support StarterMotor as 2026 Chosen Charity

The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show has announced StarterMotor as its chosen charity for 2026, supporting the charity’s mission to inspire and enable young people to explore careers across the historic and classic vehicle industry.

Taking place at Birmingham’s NEC from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 November 2026, the show will work with StarterMotor throughout the event campaign to raise awareness and funds for the charity, helping more young enthusiasts access mentoring, hands-on experiences, industry connections and skills development within the classic and historic motoring sector.

StarterMotor works with schools, colleges and industry partners to help young people discover the breadth of career opportunities available across the classic and historic vehicle community. From engineering and restoration to events, heritage skills and specialist services, the charity opens doors for the next generation while helping safeguard the skills and enthusiasm that keep the movement thriving.

Visitors booking tickets for the 2026 show will be able to support StarterMotor by adding a charity donation to their order, with £3, £5 and £10 options available. Donations will help the charity create more opportunities for young people to experience the historic vehicle world first-hand and connect with the people, places and skills that can shape future careers.

Show Director Lee Masters said: “Our show has always been about celebrating the passion, knowledge and community behind the classic vehicle movement. Choosing StarterMotor as our 2026 charity is a natural fit, as their work helps ensure that young people can see a future for themselves in this sector. We are delighted to use the platform of the show to support their work and encourage our visitors, exhibitors and clubs to get behind them.”

Steve Cootes, StarterMotor’s General Manager said: “We’re incredibly honoured to have been selected as the charity partner for the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show 2026. The show brings together the very best of the classic vehicle community, and its audience shares our belief that young people are vital to the future of the sector. This partnership will enable us to introduce more young people to the rewarding careers our industry offers, helping them build skills, confidence and valuable connections with employers and enthusiasts alike. Together, we can ensure the knowledge, craftsmanship and passion that define this remarkable community continue to thrive through the next generation."

As the UK’s premier indoor classic motor event and the traditional season finale, the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show welcomes thousands of enthusiasts, clubs, exhibitors, traders and specialists each year. The 2026 event will once again showcase a vast range of classic cars and motorcycles, club displays, specialist suppliers, the indoor autojumble, live features and opportunities for visitors of all ages to immerse themselves in classic motoring culture.
