Military Vehicle Trust Brings Commemorative Showcase to Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show

The Military Vehicle Trust (MVT) will create a spectacular Commemorative Showcase at this year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, set to take place on 7-9 November at the NEC, Birmingham.

The classic motoring season finale will bring together an impressive collection of historic military vehicles and immersive wartime displays, offering visitors a captivating glimpse into the machines and stories that helped shape the 20th century.

Show Director Lee Masters said: “These remarkable vehicles do more than showcase mechanical innovation—they serve as powerful reminders of the courage, resilience, and ingenuity that helped shape our world. This living tribute not only honours history but inspires new generations to appreciate the stories behind each machine and the sacrifices made by those who served.”

The MVT Commemorative Showcase will feature a broad array of meticulously restored vehicles, spanning multiple eras of military innovation. This will include a WW2 SAS display, featuring a bunker command post,  a 1942/43 Daimler Dingo, Classic military Jeep and Morris utility vehicles, and formidable Half Track and M8 Six-Wheeler armoured cars.

There will also be a selection of German military vehicles, representing the opposition forces of the era, historic motorcycles used for reconnaissance and communication, legendary Land Rovers and a fleet of 4/5 Humvees, showcasing post-war and modern military advancements, and authentic WW2 ambulances, honouring front-line medics and their life-saving roles.

With vehicles sourced from private collections and MVT members across the country, each display will be accompanied by expert commentary and interactive opportunities, inviting visitors of all ages to explore the engineering and human stories behind these iconic machines.

As part of the MVT Commemorative Showcase, the Royal British Legion will also hold a Remembrance Day Service on the Sunday of the event, to honour the fallen and all who serve.

The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show remains the UK’s largest gathering of motoring clubs, and the MVT's commemorative display promises to be a highlight of the 2025 event. Whether you are a history buff, engineering enthusiast, or a family seeking an educational day out, the MVT invites you to step back in time and experience military heritage up close.

The Military Vehicle Trust is a UK-based charity dedicated to preserving, restoring, and publicly displaying military vehicles from every era. Committed to keeping history alive for future generations, the MVT achieves this mission through a rich programme of events, educational initiatives, and community engagement.
