Inducted into the Classic Motor Show Hall of Fame in 2024, the Jaguar E-Type remains one of the most iconic and revered cars ever produced. Launched in 1961, its groundbreaking design by Malcolm Sayer, with its long bonnet and curvaceous lines, was hailed by Enzo Ferrari as "the most beautiful car in the world."

More than just aesthetics, the E-Type revolutionized performance. Its 3.8-litre inline-six engine could reach 150mph, offering supercar performance at a fraction of the price. Innovative features like disc brakes and independent rear suspension set new standards for handling and comfort. Beyond the track, the E-Type became a symbol of 1960s British culture, embodying style, freedom, and sophistication.

A truly timeless classic, the Jaguar E-Type continues to stand as a design and engineering masterpiece, embodying the golden age of British sports cars.

Inducted into the Classic Motor Show Hall of Fame in 2024 as our inaugural Motoring Club inductee, the Jowett Car Club was recognized for over a century of dedication, passion, and support for the classic car community.

Founded in 1923, it holds the distinction of being the world's oldest one-make car club. With around 750 members globally and approximately 2,000 surviving vehicles (produced between 1910 and 1954), the club tirelessly keeps the legacy of this historic British marque alive.

A cornerstone of their support is Jowett Car Spares, an unrivalled, club-run parts service for all Jowett models. This, combined with expert technical guidance and hands-on restoration advice, ensures members—from seasoned restorers to newcomers—are exceptionally well-supported.

Fostering strong community and camaraderie, the club operates nine regional sections and holds events across the UK. Beyond its own members, the Jowett Car Club champions the wider classic car movement, regularly assisting fellow clubs and enthusiasts. As long-standing supporters of the Classic Motor Show and NEC Restoration Show, they've earned numerous National Car Club Awards, including 'Best Live Working,' 'Best Demonstration,' and the coveted 'Club of the Year.' Their enthusiasm, generosity, and technical excellence made them a natural choice for our Hall of Fame.
