1. The Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership Competition ("Competition"), is organised and administered by Clarion Events Ltd ("Organiser") and takes place at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show at the NEC, Birmingham, 13th November – Sunday 15th November 2026 (“Event”).
2. The prize for the winner of the Competition is classic car insurance, up to the value of £250, (“Prize”). The Prize is offered by Lancaster Insurance Services (“Promoter”). Lancaster Insurance Services is a trading name of Insurance Factory Limited, registered in England (No. 02982445) with registered office address at 45 Westerham Road, Bessels Green, Sevenoaks, Kent TN13 2QB.
3. The Prize is offered to the first-place winner of the Competition (“Winner”). The Winner and two runner ups (each a "Runner up") will each receive a trophy.
4. By entering the Competition, you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions. In the event of any conflict between these terms and conditions and any other instructions or terms, these terms and conditions shall prevail where they apply.
Competition Structure
5. The Competition will be conducted in three stages:
(a) Entry Stage – individuals submit an entry via the official Pride of Ownership entry form during the entry period;
(b) Finalist Selection Stage – eligible entries will be reviewed, and a shortlist of finalists will be selected based on the information provided in the entry form;
(c) Final Stage at Event – finalists will display their vehicles at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show at the NEC, and the Winner and Runners up will be selected from those finalists by a public vote conducted at the event.
Entry process and finalist selection
6. To be eligible to enter the Competition
(a) the entrant must be a resident of the United Kingdom and aged 18 or over. Proof of identity and eligibility may be required; and
(b) the vehicle which they enter into the Competition must be manufactured before 31 December 2006.
7. To enter the Competition, entrants must complete and submit the Pride of Ownership entry form, including all required information regarding their vehicle, between 27 May 2026 and 30 August 2026. Provided the requirements of clause 6 are satisfied and the entry is submitted during the entry period, it will constitute an "Eligible Entry". Entries received outside of this period will not be considered.
8. All Eligible Entries will be reviewed, (20) finalists will be carefully selected and curated at the Organiser's sole discretion, based on the information provided in the entry form and the entrant's demonstrated pride of ownership in their vehicle.
9. Finalists will be notified by 7 September 2026 using the contact details provided on the entry form. If a finalist does not respond within 7 days of notification, the Organiser reserves the right to withdraw their finalist place and select an alternative finalist. Each finalist will receive a ticket to attend the Event. Finalists are responsible for all costs associated with attending the Event, including travel, accommodation, meals and any other expenses incurred before, during or after the Event.
10. Finalists must make their vehicle available for display at the Event between 13th November to 15th November 2026. Failure to attend the Event with the entered vehicle or withdrawal from the Competition after being selected as a finalist will mean the entrant will no longer be eligible to win the Prize and the Organiser reserves the right to select an alternative finalist.
Winner selection
11. The Winner and Runners up will be selected from all finalists by a public vote conducted at the Event.
12. The vehicle receiving the highest number of votes will be selected as the Winner. The two next highest totals will determine the two Runners up. In the event of a tie, the Organiser's decision shall be final.
13. The Winner and Runners-up will be announced at approximately 14:00 on Sunday 15 November 2026.
Claiming the Prize
14. The Prize is valid for one year from the date of award and must be claimed within that period. To redeem the Prize, the Winner must email carclubs@lancasterinsurance.co.uk with their vehicle registration number when their policy is due. A call back with an agent will then be arranged. Neither the Organiser nor the Promoter shall be held responsible for non-delivery of the Prize or any failure by the Winner to take advantage of the Prize for any reason and no alternative will be provided. It is the Winner’s responsibility to get in touch with the Promoter in the way stated above. The Prize is subject to the Promoter's normal underwriting criteria, eligibility requirements and policy terms.
General
15. Neither the Organiser nor the Promoter accepts responsibility for entries submitted incorrectly or delayed, that do not comply with the terms and conditions.
16. The Organisers decisions relating to the administration of the Competition shall be final. No correspondence relating to the Competition will be entered into.
17. The Organiser and the Promoters liability to the Winner or any Runners-up for any direct, indirect or consequential damage or loss is excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law and in particular they will have no liability to the Winner or to any other third party in respect of any issue which affects the quality or fitness for any particular purpose of the Prize or any damage or loss resulting from making use of the Prize. The Winner further accept that any replacement or substitution of the Prize is at the Organiser or Promoters sole discretion and they are under no obligation to do so.
18. The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. There is no cost to enter the Competition. The Winner agrees not to sell, offer to sell or use the Prize for any commercial or promotional purpose (including placing the Prize on an internet auction site).
19. By entering the Competition, you consent to the Promoter’s use of your personal data for the purposes of administering the Prize, but such personal data will not be shared with non-affiliated third parties.
20. If you are the Winner or one of the Runners up, you may be required to take part in any post-competition publicity as reasonably required by the Organiser or the Promoter, which may include the publication of your name, photographs of you, video, and/or voice recordings. By accepting the Prize, the Winner agrees to this publicity being used as deemed appropriate by the Organiser and/or the Promoter. Finalists and their vehicles may also be photographed or included in show videos used for future promotion of the competition.
21. The Organiser and the Promoter agree to comply with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) including any subordinate legislation made under it and any provision amending, superseding it or re-enacting it (whether with or without modification).
22. The Winner’s personal details will be stored/used in line with the Organisers Privacy Policy which can be found here and the Promoters Privacy Policy available here.
23. The Organiser, reserves the right, at their discretion, to:
(a) Amend these terms and conditions; and
(b) Disqualify any entrants who do not comply with these terms and conditions or have acted fraudulently in any way; and
(c) Suspend or cancel the Competition at any time and without providing any prior notice, if in its opinion it is deemed necessary or if circumstances arise outside its control; and
(d) Substitute the Prize or any element of the Prize including the Prize value in the event that the Prize cannot be provided to the Winner.
24. The Organiser cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction, availability or functionality or otherwise or any other problem with any server, system, network or mobile operator or service provider or otherwise which may result in any registration not being properly logged, not recorded or recognised.
25. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit or exclude the Organiser or the Promoter’s liability for:
(a) Death or personal injury caused by its negligence;
(b) Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
26. Subject to clause 25 and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organiser and the Promoter shall not be liable for any claims or actions of any kind whatsoever arising from damages or losses to persons, the Winner, or to property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership and/or use of the Prize or any element of the Prize, any acts or omissions of its agents.
27. If any of these terms and conditions are found by a competent court or other competent authority to be void or unenforceable, that term or condition shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable.
28. This Competition is governed by English law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Competition Rules, Conduct & Voting
29. Voting takes place exclusively at the Pride of Ownership display area via QR code or stand host device (iPad). A valid vote requires the voter's name and email address. Voters may optionally consent to receive communications from Lancaster Insurance and/or the Organiser about the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show and its sister shows. Where telephone contact is consented to, a phone number will also be requested. Data will only be used for purposes to which the voter has expressly consented.
30. A vehicle may only be entered once in any three-year period.
31. An owner may enter one vehicle per year but must enter a different vehicle each year.
32. This is not a concours competition. Concours-winning vehicles are welcome but will not be judged on that basis.
33. The competition is open to private individuals only. Club members and traders may enter in a personal capacity but may not promote their club or business on their vehicle or display area.
34. A limited amount of associated memorabilia may be displayed alongside the vehicle at the owner's own risk. The Organiser accepts no responsibility for the safety or security of such items.
35. The Organiser will not contribute to any transportation or accommodation costs for entrants.
36. Voters may not be bribed, coerced, or voted for by another person on their behalf. Voting links and forms must not be shared outside of the Pride of Ownership display area or on any external platform, including social media.
37. Any intimidation, cheating, derogatory remarks or bad-mouthing between finalists will result in immediate disqualification and removal from the Event.
38. Votes will be counted and verified by Clarion Events Ltd. The Organiser's decision is final.
